Hi, I'm Johnny Villarreal, and I like bringing ideas to life!

 

I have experience with producing and teaching video production, motion design, and visual art. From collaboratively developing hardware and software for an interactive stop-motion animation touring project to working with amazing studios, artists, and organizations to produce dynamic on-brand content, storytelling and the moving image have played a significant role in my life.

These days I work mostly as a remote motion designer with occasional in-studio days. Working with different teams on various projects has taught me several good workflow practices that make the remote production pipeline run smoothly.

When I'm away from my computer I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking and biking, cooking, teaching art and animation, tending to my garden, or making art.
