Johnny Villarreal is a visual artist, motion designer, and educator from Austin, Texas. His motion graphics/VFX work can be found on television shows, video game cutaway scenes, music videos, explainers, promotional content, and other storytelling projects. 

 

Since 2008 he has been exhibiting his custom-built stop-motion animation studio, The Edge of Imagination Station. From 2014 to 2024 he served on the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster which created the opportunity to work with students of all ages, skill levels, and abilities in schools, libraries, museums, festivals, and other non-profits across the state. 

 

When he’s not working you can find him spending time with his family, making art, and working in his garden.
